MAIK Voice

For customer service

Support your customers in their language, without hiring for every one

The tickets you currently route to a queue that does not exist, resolve slowly through written translation, or lose. Handled live, by the agent who is already available, in the language the customer wrote in.

You cannot staff a native speaker for every language a customer might use.

So the options have been: hire for the top two or three and let the rest wait, outsource to an agency with its own queue, or paste the conversation through a translation tab and hope tone survives. Each one turns a five-minute fix into a multi-day thread.

How it fits

01

The agent who is free takes the call

Routing stops depending on who speaks what. Any available agent can handle any language the platform supports, which is the difference between a same-day resolution and a queue.

02

Voice or text, whichever the customer chose

Translated text chat rooms for the customers who prefer writing, live translated voice and video for the ones who need to be walked through something. Same platform, same billing.

03

Costs scale with talk, not with headcount

Metering runs only while translation runs, at 14¢ per translated minute on the Standard tier. A quiet shift costs nothing at all, which is not true of a retained interpreter or a second hire.

04

Nothing for the customer to install

They join from one link in the browser. A customer who is already annoyed will not download an app to complain, and asking them to is how a support call becomes a churn event.

Honest limits

What this is not

It is a translation layer, not a support platform: there is no ticketing, no CRM, no queue management and no agent routing — you keep the helpdesk you have. And it is machine translation, so for a complaint that is escalating, a regulated disclosure, or anything a customer might later hold you to word for word, put a qualified human in the loop.

The full cost comparison against a professional interpreter, with the assumptions shown, is on the comparison page.

FAQ

Questions

Does this replace our helpdesk?
No, and it does not try to. There is no ticketing, routing, CRM or queue management here. It is the live translation layer for conversations you are already having in whatever system you already use.
How does the customer join?
From a single link, in their browser. No account, no download, nothing to install — which is the only version of this that a frustrated customer will actually go through with.
What does it cost per conversation?
Translation is metered at 14¢ per translated minute on the Standard voice tier, charged only while translation is running. A ten-minute call with four minutes of translated speech is about 56¢. Text sessions are billed at 6¢ per 1,000 characters.
Can agents see what was said afterwards?
Sessions can produce a translated transcript, which expires at 30 days. Raw voice is never stored and replay audio clears within 24 hours, so the retention story is short by default rather than by configuration.
